IHG Credit Cards Boost Welcome Offers for New Holders

The Chase-issued credit cards for the IHG hotel group are boosting their bonus offers for new cardholders. Starting May 29, 2025, applicants are eligible for the following:
IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card: Earn 5 Free Nights — valued at up to 300,000 total points — after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. Each free night is valued at up to 60,000 points. All told, the new welcome bonus offers more total value than the previous one. However, it has a higher spending requirement in the same amount of time. Plus, the new offer is for free night awards, meaning the offer will be less flexible in cases where a one-night IHG stay costs more than 60,000 points.
IHG One Rewards Traveler Credit Card: Earn 120,000 Bonus Points after spending $2,000 on purchases within the first 3 months of account opening. This is 40,000 more points than the card’s previous welcome bonus.

NerdWallet values IHG points at 0.5 cent each. Points can be redeemed at more than 6,000 hotels and resorts in the IHG hotel program including InterContinental, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Kimpton and EVEN Hotels. You can also transfer points to airline partners or redeem them for gift cards and other members-only experiences, among other options.
Otherwise, terms and ongoing benefits of the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card and the IHG One Rewards Traveler Credit Card remain the same.
