The Venmo Credit Card, introduced to app users in 2020, offers cash-back bonus categories that change monthly to adapt to your spending patterns.
New cardholders of the Venmo Credit Card who are approved by August 15, 2021, will earn a special bonus offer on purchases made through Dec. 31, 2021:
6% cash back on one eligible top spend category.
4% cash back on your next top spend category.
2% cash back on all other purchases.
Eligible categories include: grocery and wholesale clubs, travel, dining, gas, bills and utilities, entertainment, transportation and health and beauty.
There is no cap on the rewards that can be earned during this introductory period. Interested applicants must apply in the Venmo app and must have had a Venmo account open and in good standing for at least 30 days.

How the Venmo Credit Card works
Many cash back credit cards that offer bonus categories don’t allow you to choose which ones suit your spending best that month. Other cash back cards do allow you to customize your rewards, but many times you’ll have to opt in.
The Venmo Credit Card automatically awards the highest cash back to your top spending category each month.
The $0-annual fee card’s standard cash-back earnings are as follows:
3% cash back on one eligible top spend category.
2% cash back on your next top spend category.
1% cash back on all other purchases.
