Ways to maximize your Capital One Spark Miles for Business
Qualify for the introductory bonus miles offer
Topping the list of Capital One Spark Miles for Business benefits is the opportunity to qualify for an introductory miles bonus when you meet the minimum spending requirement. Earn a one-time bonus of 50,000 miles – equal to $500 in travel – once you spend $4,500 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening.
Redeem miles for travel
Miles earned with this card are worth 1 cent each when you redeem them for travel through the Capital One travel booking site. You’ll also get a value of 1 cent per mile when you use the card's miles for statement credit against travel purchases. Buy travel from any provider then, within 90 days of purchase, use your Capital One miles to offset all or part of the charge.
Earn unlimited miles
The Capital One Spark Miles for Business has an uncomplicated rewards structure. With this card, you earn unlimited 2x miles per dollar on all qualifying purchases with no limit. When purchasing travel, you can also enjoy no blackouts or seat restrictions. If you book hotels and rental cars through Capital One Travel, you'll get an elevated earn rate of 5x miles.
Apply for Global Entry or TSA Precheck
Global Entry and TSA Precheck can make business travel easier, and this card will reimburse your cost of enrolling in either program.
When you use your card to apply for Global Entry or TSA Precheck, you can receive up to a $120 credit toward the application fee. You can get this statement credit every four years so long as your account remains in good standing.

Use your card for travel outside the U.S.
Foreign transaction fees can add to the cost of purchases made in a different country, but this credit card has none. If you take business trips outside the U.S. at all, using this card to cover purchases while you're away is a simple way to avoid up to 3% in transaction fees.
Transfer miles to travel partners
Capital One gives you the option of transferring miles to more than 15 travel partners, including Accor Live Limitless, Air Canada Aeroplan and Air France-KLM Flying Blue.
This gives you a little more leeway for using Capital One Spark Miles for Business benefits, especially if one of the travel partners is your preferred airline.
The bottom line
The Capital One Spark Miles for Business could be a good fit if you want to earn uncomplicated, unlimited miles on travel and enjoy some added benefits. If you prefer cash back over travel rewards, consider instead the Capital One Spark Cash.
