Where to Drink Alcohol in the Magic Kingdom

Visiting Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and searching for a way to wet your whistle that’s just for the 21-plus crowd? Whether or not you’re at a Disney park with children, you may be keen to sample an adult beverage during your stay. Well, you can!

Epcot may be known as the park with the most adult libations, but if you’re wondering, “Does the Magic Kingdom sell alcohol, too?” — then you’re in luck. Though that fact isn’t widely publicized on the Disney website, here’s where you can find alcohol in Magic Kingdom Park.

8 places with alcohol in the Magic Kingdom

You can order alcohol in the Magic Kingdom at any of the restaurants that offer table service. Quick-service restaurants and counter-service establishments, including options like Gaston’s Tavern and Tortuga Tavern, don’t serve alcoholic beverages.

🤓Nerdy Tip

Though Gaston's Tavern doesn't serve alcohol, it's the only place where you can sample LeFou's Brew — the restaurant's signature nonalcoholic drink. It's made with frozen apple juice, flavored with toasted marshmallow and topped with passion fruit mango foam.

These restaurants offer adult beverages in the Magic Kingdom:

1. Be Our Guest Restaurant

Beer, cider, Champagne and wine are on the menu at this fine dining spot that serves French and American cuisine in three magical and immersive dining rooms based on “Beauty and the Beast.” Have a glass of French signature wine or Champagne to celebrate the theme.

2. Cinderella’s Royal Table

Choose from a selection of wine cocktails like mimosas and sangria while you eat breakfast in the inimitable castle. Lunch and dinner are also served in the fairy-tale dining room. At dinner, choose from a long list of wine and beer or opt for variety with a wine flight.

3. The Crystal Palace

Beer, hard cider, wine and a select few cocktails are available at The Crystal Palace. The Victorian-era, greenhouse-inspired restaurant is an all-you-can-eat buffet, and guests will be joined by Winnie the Pooh and other characters from the Hundred Acre Wood.

4. Liberty Tree Tavern

Sip on a variety of wine, beer, hard cider and themed cocktails while you fill up on family-style platters of traditional Thanksgiving fixings. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and features a colonial setting. A Gold Rush cocktail or a pint of Sam Adams will help set the scene.

5. The Diamond Horseshoe

Serving up some of the same menu items as Liberty Tree Tavern, this casual dining restaurant also features a selection of alcoholic beverages in an Old West-themed music hall. Cider shandy is just one of the theme-appropriate drinks on the menu.

6. The Plaza Restaurant

A concise selection of wine and beer are available at this charming, 20th-century-style dining room that serves casual American fare and is open for lunch and dinner. For an adult take on the classic milkshake, wash down your meal with a beer-infused mudslide.

7. Tony’s Town Square Restaurant

Enjoy wine, beer and cocktails at Tony’s, which is open for lunch and dinner. You’ll be surrounded by “Lady and the Tramp” vibes while you enjoy Italian-American cuisine in the quaint trattoria. Italian wines complement the menu.

8. Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen

This casual restaurant that serves African, Asian and South American cuisine also offers specialty cocktails, beer and wine in three quirky, jungle cruise-themed rooms. A Jungle Bird cocktail or Kungaloosh Spiced Excursion Ale brewed just for the park are two drink options.

You have to get there early, like before the gates even open. Power walk to your top attraction as soon as you can get in. I usually get more rides done in the first hour of park opening than the next four hours combined. Most vacations are for sleeping in, but a Disney vacation is not one of those.

I usually rush to Rise of the Resistance, get in a quick round of Millenium Falcon: Smuggler's Run, and then put my name on the waitlist for Oga's Cantina, the bar in Galaxy's Edge, first thing. It's one of my favorite experiences in the park because the food, drinks and atmosphere are so inventive.

Dining reservations

Table service restaurants in the park typically require a reservation. To guarantee you’ll get to dine at the restaurants you prefer, you’ll need to plan.

You can make reservations online or via the Disney mobile app.

If you’re staying at a Disney resort or hotel, you can make reservations for your entire visit at once (up to a 10-night stay) starting 60 days before the first day of your visit. If you’re staying elsewhere, you can make reservations up to 60 days in advance of the date you plan to dine.

Do dining plans include alcohol?

Disney parks, including the Magic Kingdom, offer dining plans to help guests make the most of their experience. Those include quick-service plans for visitors who want to dine on the go as well as deluxe plans that include meals at signature restaurants and dinner shows. There are four plans to choose from:

Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan.
Disney Dining Plan.
Disney Dining Plan Plus.
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan.

You can buy any plan with a vacation package or add one to any Disney reservation (provided dining plans are available at that time). With any package, as long as you’re older than 21, you can substitute an alcoholic beverage for a nonalcoholic beverage.
