Current Credit Card Transfer Bonuses: December 2024
Many or all of the products on this page are from partners who compensate us when you click to or take an action on their website, but this does not influence our evaluations or ratings. Our opinions are our own.
If you’re serious about traveling more for less, a great place to start is by earning transferable points or miles — such as Chase Ultimate Rewards, Capital One Miles, Bilt Rewards and AmEx Membership Rewards. Credit cards that earn these rewards allow you to transfer them to a list of partner airlines or hotel programs, often at a 1:1 ratio.
Occasionally, credit card issuers and their travel partners offer transfer bonuses, allowing you to get even more value from your points. For example, if your points transfer to an airline at a 1:1 ratio, and that airline is offering a 25% transfer bonus, transferring 100,000 miles to that airline would net you 125,000 airline miles. That means you can transfer fewer miles to book the same award flight.

When should you transfer points?
You should generally only transfer rewards to airline and hotel partners if you have a specific redemption in mind. Once the rewards are transferred, it can’t be undone. Those rewards are subject to the restrictions of the individual loyalty program, which may include expiration dates or loyalty program devaluations. If you decide to take advantage of a transfer bonus without immediate travel plans, be sure to understand those restrictions before you transfer.
Using an award search tool like PointsYeah can help you find redemption options for the transferrable points you’re trying to redeem. You can even filter results to only include transferable points with a current transfer bonus.
AmEx transfer bonus history
American Express Membership Rewards can be transferred to 18 airlines and three hotels.
