Whether it’s theater and magic shows, gambling or people-watching, Las Vegas offers entertainment galore. It’s no wonder the city attracts tens of millions of visitors every year.

Delta Air Lines flies nonstop to Las Vegas from most of its key hubs. If you’re searching for Delta flights to Las Vegas, check out this guide for booking award flights with Delta SkyMiles and using other credit card perks to make your trip a little more comfortable and a little less expensive.

The Delta experience at Harry Reid International Airport

First things first. Let’s get you prepared for flying to and from the Las Vegas airport so you know what to expect.

  • Which terminal does Delta fly to in Las Vegas? Delta Air Lines uses Terminal 1 for departures and arrivals.

  • Does Delta have a lounge in Las Vegas? Unfortunately, Delta flyers won’t find any Sky Clubs at the Delta terminal in Las Vegas. However, ticketed passengers with The Platinum Card® from American Express have access to the Centurion Lounge located in Concourse D. Terminal 1 is connected to the D gates by an airport tram. Priority Pass members can visit the Club LAS locations in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Terms apply.

The value of Delta SkyMiles

On average, you can expect to get about 1.2 cents from every SkyMile you redeem, but it’s possible to extract more value for some trips. If you find redemption rates lower than 1.2 cents per mile, stay away from using miles and pay cash instead.

🤓Nerdy Tip

To figure out the cash value of an award mile for a flight you're considering, divide the price of the cash ticket minus taxes and fees (which is $5.60 per one-way domestic flight on Delta) by the cost of the award ticket in miles. Then, multiply the result by 100. That will give you a cent-per-mile value.

If the value exceeds 1.2 cents per mile, congratulations, you’ve found a good redemption opportunity. We can do the math for you with our points or cash calculator.

We searched Las Vegas flight prices in cash and miles from four Delta hubs to compare per-mile values. Below are the lowest fares we found for nonstop main cabin flights over a weekend (Thursday to Sunday), searched about 90 days before travel.

Here's a closer look at your Delta flight options from this batch of U.S. cities.

Atlanta

Delta offers multiple daily flights to Las Vegas from Atlanta. Expect to redeem anywhere from 49,500 to 82,000 Delta SkyMiles for your round-trip tickets in economy. If cash prices are high, redemption rates will be high as well. It’s worth tracking your preferred flights for a while before you book to see if costs drop.

Boston

Passengers from Boston have only one or two nonstop Delta flights available to Las Vegas, depending on the day of the week. You’re looking at 42,500 SkyMiles for a round-trip flight to Boston and back on the last weekend of February, but you can find itineraries with connections for less if you prefer to save some miles in exchange for a layover.

Los Angeles

Angelenos live about 300 miles from Sin City, so driving is an option. But if sitting in traffic on I-10, hungover, on the way back doesn’t sound appealing, you’re just a short flight away.

Prices fluctuate, but plan on redeeming 18,500 to 28,000 SkyMiles, or less if you find a deal, for a round-trip Delta flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.

This award flight is also the only one of our survey that gave us a better cent-per-mile deal than our average.

Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City is also within driving distance to Vegas, but if you’re dreading a road trip on that Sunday after doing Vegas-y things all weekend, then flying is your friend.

Redeem between 21,500 and 35,500 Delta SkyMiles for a Main Cabin flight on Delta to Vegas for a weekend at the end of February, or be flexible with your dates and wait for redemption rates to drop.

Other tips to book cheap Delta flights to Las Vegas

If you don’t have enough Delta SkyMiles, there are plenty of ways to earn them with credit cards, some of which can also get you free checked bags, companion tickets or airport lounge access.

  • Open a co-branded credit card. You can earn tens of thousands of miles via welcome bonuses from the Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card, the Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card or the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card by opening up a new card account and meeting the minimum-spending requirement. These credit cards also come with a free checked bag on Delta for you and up to eight companions. Terms apply.

  • Use a Companion Certificate. When cash prices run high, consider redeeming your Delta Companion Certificate that comes with the Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card and the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card. With it, you can book two round-trip tickets within the U.S. and to Mexico, the Caribbean or Central America for the price of one (plus tax) when you pay cash. Terms apply.

  • Look out for deals. On occasion, Delta runs SkyMiles Flash Deals, during which you can book flights to a featured destination at lower than usual redemption rates. In the past, we’ve seen deals to Las Vegas from other U.S. cities for as few as 9,000 SkyMiles round trip.

  • Transfer American Express Membership Rewards points to Delta SkyMiles. You can transfer American Express Membership Rewards points to Delta SkyMiles at a 1:1 ratio. Because AmEx points are usually worth more than SkyMiles, do this only when you get outsized value from your Delta miles.

If you want to fly Delta to Las Vegas

Feeling lucky and got Delta SkyMiles to burn? Then, a Vegas trip could be in the cards for you. Keep in mind that the mileage rate for a flight you see today might change tomorrow.
