Nowadays, airlines make it easy for passengers to book flights, check-in and even request refunds without having to interact with another human being. No matter how simple traveling has become, flight cancellations, delayed luggage and placing award booking on hold can still require speaking with a customer service agent.

Here’s how you can contact Emirates customer service should you need assistance before, during and after a trip.

How do I reach Emirates customer service?

Call Emirates customer service number

If you have a question that requires speaking to an airline agent, you can dial the toll-free Emirates U.S. customer service number at 800-777-3999. This phone number is available from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern Time.

If you prefer texting over calling, U.S.-based flyers can use a separate number: 888-320-1576. Whether texting or calling, the same business hours apply.

Chat with an agent

To chat, head over to the Emirates' Help and Support page and start a live chat with a customer service representative from there. The chat feature is available in English language only.

Use social media

For more urgent help requiring real-time assistance from airline consultants, feel free to use X (formerly known as Twitter) or Facebook to reach Emirates customer service 24/7.

Located in any time zone, flyers with social media accounts can tweet @EmiratesSupport or send a direct message to Facebook support at any time of day or night. These channels are available in English or Arabic languages.

Visit the Emirates customer service page

Before you reach out to the airline, you might be able to find some information on its website. The Emirates customer service page has various other pages and forms offering information regarding the following topics:

  • Dubai Connect stopover services.

  • Canceling or changing a flight.

  • Managing a booking.

  • Refund requests.

  • Travel health.

  • Baggage inquiries.

  • Disruption updates.

How do I reach Emirates Skywards?

The Emirates Skywards loyalty program doesn’t have a separate phone number. You’ll have to dial the standard helpline at 800-777-3999 or use the live chat feature for questions regarding award flights, including placing flights on hold and booking partner awards.

As an Emirates Skywards member looking to redeem miles with FlyDubai, an Emirates’ partner, you have access to special email addresses, which differ based on your elite level in the program.

For redeeming Skywards miles for FlyDubai flights, send an email to the following addresses:

How do I offer feedback or send a complaint to Emirates?

For passengers looking to share their experience with the airline, Emirates offers two options: submit feedback and file a complaint. You can do so by filling out this form. To simplify the process, log in to your Emirates Skywards account, and your personal details will populate in the form.

Keep in mind that this form isn’t useful for upcoming or current travel and it’s best to call the Emirates customer service phone number in those cases.

Does Emirates give refunds for canceled flights?

If your ticket is eligible for a refund, you can ask for it via a designated refund request form.

  • Change fees due to COVID-19.

  • Downgrades.

  • Excess baggage.

  • Fully unused tickets.

  • Paid lounge access.

  • Partially used tickets.

  • Seat selections.

  • Skywards miles redemptions.

  • Visa deposits.

The refunds will be processed according to the fare rules at the time of purchase.

Only tickets purchased directly with Emirates can be refunded through the contact form. This includes tickets booked through an Emirates contact center, an Emirates ticket office or Emirates.com.

If you purchased your ticket through a travel agent, you must contact them directly, unless it’s been more than 24 months since you booked travel.

As usual, per the U.S. Department of Transportation rules, tickets that originate in the United States are eligible for a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours.

Emirates customer service communication recapped

An airline customer service team is one of those things you hope you never need but are glad it’s there to help you in case you have questions or issues about your trip. Although Emirates provides the answers to many common questions online, some inquiries require human attention.

Emirates makes it easy to reach its support team by offering multiple avenues of contact.
