Best Western Rewards is a popular hotel rewards program. In addition to redeeming points for free nights, you can also exchange points for gift cards, which for some travelers represents great value.

Travelers earn 10 points per $1 spent, and free nights start at 5,000 points per night. There are no blackout dates and points do not expire, which is why it’s so important to claim them all.

No matter where you stay with Best Western, be sure to provide your loyalty program number. Some of the company’s hotels are independently owned — and while there are customer service and amenity similarities, it is possible that your points may not always post after a stay.

How to request missing Best Western Rewards points

Always keep your room receipt until your points post and check before leaving that your number is in the system. If your Best Western Rewards points still don’t post after seven days, here’s the simple process for requesting points to post retroactively. Note that you can also use this process if you want to request missing earnings as airline miles.

Use this form to request missing points. You will be prompted to log in with your Best Western Rewards credentials.

You can specify whether you’d like to claim missing points or miles. You will be prompted to enter details like hotel name, confirmation number, dates of stay and rate paid.

If you have multiple stays with missing credit, you can add another stay’s information in the same form.

Another important thing to remember is that new members to the program can request points for stays that occurred up to 30 days prior to joining the program. You can request credit for those points using the same form.

If you booked your stay by calling the hotel directly, Best Western requests that you mail or fax a copy of your folio or itemized receipt for missing credit.

The bottom line

One key point to remember is that missing points can only be requested within the six months following a stay. Since points never expire, use Best Western's online form to claim as many as you can.
