At Walt Disney World Resort, a sprawling complex located in Orlando, Florida, you’ll find budget hotels and ultra-luxurious resorts along with theme parks and a shopping district. Disney’s Polynesian Resort is among the most expensive options and features themed decor, a popular bar and Club Level rooms for its most discerning guests.

Let’s take a look at the Polynesian’s Club Level, what it includes and the top things to know about this room type.

1. Club rooms cost more

As you’d probably expect, Club Level rooms are more expensive than your standard room. Club Level rooms come with additional amenities — and there are quite a few — that’ll drive up the price.

While the rooms themselves can be fairly similar to standard rooms in design, Disney’s Polynesian Club Level rooms feature a slightly better view.

This is true of even the cheapest Club room option — Club Level rooms all include a view of the garden, lake or the parks, while non-Club rooms may look out over the parking lot or the monorail.

Disney’s Polynesian Club Level 2023 offerings are also differently equipped than standard rooms. Even at their cheapest rate, Club Level rooms include two queen beds and a daybed, while standard rooms may only have one king bed and a daybed or just two queen beds.

There’s a pretty significant price difference between Club Level rooms and regular rooms at the Polynesian. Generally speaking, expect to pay upwards of $200 more per night to be spending your time in a Club room rather than a standard room.

2. There’s an exclusive lounge

If you’ve ever had elite status with a hotel you’re likely familiar with Club Lounges. Also called an executive lounge, these exclusive locations offer an oasis away from the bustle of the hotel.

The same can be said for the King Kamehameha Club lounge, which is available to those staying in the Club Level rooms at the Polynesian Resort.

The King Kamehameha Club at the Polynesian Resort has three levels and includes a concierge area, a main room for seating and a serving area for food and drinks.

3. It includes a private concierge service

If you have a high-end travel credit card or have stayed at fancy hotels in the past, you may already be familiar with concierge service.

Those who’ve booked Disney Polynesian Resort Club Level rooms have exclusive access to a concierge, which can be a huge benefit during a Disney vacation.

Concierges are able to make dining reservations, arrange childcare, exchange currencies, purchase theme park tickets, give you information about the theme parks and help you with transportation.

Disney World vacations can have a lot of moving parts, so a concierge can help you keep everything organized while saving you time.

4. Checking in is faster

It seems more people are traveling than ever, which is why booking a Club room now may be more beneficial than in the past. This is especially true when it comes to check-in.

Unlike other hotels, Disney doesn’t offer expedited check-in for elite members (mostly because it doesn’t have an elite status program). This means that the line can get pretty long during peak periods.

However, Club Level guests have their own private check-in desk at the Polynesian Resort. It’s located in the hotel’s lobby and offers expedited services so you can get out of line and into your room much more quickly.

5. Club guests have health club access

If you’re interested in a workout or some relaxation during your trip, you’re in luck. Club Level rooms are granted access to the health club at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

The resort is a short stroll from the Polynesian, or you can choose to ride the monorail for a little extra fun.

6. It includes food and alcohol

Probably the best benefit of booking a Club Level room is the access to complimentary food and drinks throughout the day. The Polynesian’s Club Level food in 2022 and 2023 offers a wide variety of options to choose from.

Generally speaking, you can expect to find refreshments available from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., though there are specific hours for breakfast, appetizers and dessert:

  • Breakfast: 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

  • Refreshments: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Appetizers, wine and cheese: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Desserts and cordials: 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

7. Disney Vacation Club members can book Club rooms

Disney operates its own timeshare program called the Disney Vacation Club, and members are able to book rooms at resorts for discounted rates. This includes high-end options such as Disney’s Polynesian Resort.

Those with a Disney Vacation Club membership have access to Club Level rooms at the Polynesian by converting their Vacation Points into Reservation Points. This can’t be done online — members will need to call in to complete the conversion.

There’s no denying that Club Level rooms offer some of the best benefits around. This includes a private check-in area, exclusive lounge access and free food and drinks.

However, it can be expensive to pay the upcharges associated with Club Level rooms, especially at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. But if you’re certain you’ll take advantage of the amenities Club Level offers, it can be a great way to make your Disney vacation extra luxurious.
