6 Things You May Not Know About Red Roof’s Rewards Program

Red Roof recently rebranded its RediCard loyalty program. The Red Roof brand includes Red Roof Inn, Red Roof Plus, The Red Collection and HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof. Here are six things you may not know about Red Roof’s new rewards program.
1. It’s called RediRewards
RediCard, the previous loyalty program for hotels in the Red Roof collection, is now RediRewards. This rebranding includes four different branches: RediPoints, RediSave, RediShop and RediAccess.
2. RediPoints: Your RediCard points have already transferred to the RediReward program
If you were already a frequent guest at Red Roof, there’s a good chance you were part of the RediCard program. In that case, your point balance and account numbers have already been transferred over to RediRewards, meaning there’s no need for current members to take any action.
In addition to keeping points intact, RediRewards maintains many of the same non-point perks as the RediCard program. They include the following:
Complimentary bottled water.
Advance purchase discount of up to 20% off the best available rate.
$2 off premium rooms.
Monthly deals.
Bonus point offers.
With RediRewards, you earn points for every stay, but point accruals depend on the property. Members earn 10 points per $1 at Red Roof Inn, Red Roof Plus and The Red Collection. Earn 5 points per $1 at HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof.
Take note: If you don’t use or accrue points in a fourteen-month period, you will lose them.
3. RediSave: You no longer have to save up for a free night to benefit from your RediPoints
RediSave allows guests to pay for hotels using a combination of points and card. This enables Red Roof frequent guests to save on their stay by using their RediPoints for room discounts. It’s ideal when you don’t have enough points for a free night but still want to save a little on your booking.
RediSave provides 30% off the best available rate when you redeem 3,000 points at HomeTowne Studios, 3,500 points at Red Roof In and Red Roof Plus and 7,000 points at the more upscale Red Collection. To compare, 7,000 points will give you a full free night at any Red Roof Inn or Red Roof Plus property. A free night at a Red Collection hotel costs 14,000 points.
Since the discount is only 30%, using your points for RediSave might not be the best value compared to saving them for a full free night. However, the option could be a perk for infrequent guests of Red Roof properties looking for a casual discount or for those who would rather use their credit card to collect travel reward points.
Brand | Point Accrual | Points for RediSave Discount | Points for Free Night |
---|---|---|---|
Red Roof Inn | 10 points per $1 | 3,500 for 30% | 7,000 |
Red Roof Plus+ | 10 points per $1 | 3,500 for 30% | 7,000 |
The Red Collection | 10 points per $1 | 7,000 for 30% | 14,000 |
HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof | 5 points per $1 | 3,000 for 30% | 6,000 |

4. RediShop: Your points aren’t limited to hotel stays
The RediShop portion of RediRewards introduces an online marketplace, including everything from gift cards and electronics to the omnipresent magazine subscription. A $25 gift card, for example, will cost you 6,500 points. A free night, on the other hand, costs as few as 6,000 points. So consider your point and reward goals before diving into RediShop.
5. RediAccess: Use your RediRewards membership for discounts — at home and on vacation
A RediReward membership includes RediAccess, powered by LifeMart. RediAccess provides discounts on experiences, like amusement park tickets, as well as offers from popular retailers, insurance companies, home meal delivery kits, home security systems, among others.
RediAccess is a free perk for RediReward members, so there’s no reason to miss out on this element of the membership. On the whole, the discounts and coupons aren’t unique, but the deal-savvy may find this a worthwhile resource for their discount-site arsenals. Travel-specific discounts range from 10% off Priority Pass membership to 3% cash back at Sandals Resorts.
6. It’s easy to get a free night with special Red Roof promotions
RediRewards promos enable members to earn points more quickly. Through Feb. 29, 2020, members who book two separate stays at a Red Roof property will get 7,000 RediPoints. If you’re looking to take advantage of this promo, make sure to register online before booking your stay.
