Concerned about tariffs?

Many small-business owners are under increased economic stress and uncertainty following the latest tariff announcements. NerdWallet is here to help you find answers for whatever you're looking for. Here are some resources to help you get started:

Other 0% business credit cards to consider

The following cards either have an intro APR period shorter than 12 months or aren't currently available through NerdWallet.

How 0% APR business credit cards work

With a 0% APR business credit card, you’ll pay no interest on purchases for a specified number of months. You still need to pay the minimum due each billing cycle, though. Fail to do so, and you'll get hit with a penalty APR and likely have your interest-free period canceled.

When to consider a 0% APR business credit card

Almost any entrepreneur can benefit from a 0% APR business credit card. It's essentially an interest-free loan — at least for a little while. But these cards can be especially beneficial in the following instances:
  • You're starting a new business. A 0% APR business card can be a good business credit card for startups. You can use these cards to finance business expenses while you’re building cash flow.
  • You need to finance a large purchase. Business loans charge interest from the start. So even if you can qualify for one, using a credit card with a 0% APR intro offer and paying it off quickly may be a cheaper form of financing.
  • You have a pay-off plan. You have to pay the ongoing APR on any outstanding balance after an intro APR period ends — and those interest rates tend to be high. If you might take months or even years beyond an intro APR period to pay off your debt; using a credit card may be very expensive in the long run.

How to qualify for a 0% APR business credit card

You need a personal FICO score of at least 690 to qualify for most 0% APR business credit cards. Issuers will also ask about your annual revenue and time in businesses, but those play a smaller role in whether you're approved. New business owners with no established revenue can still be approved for a 0% business card.

Can your business use a 0% APR personal credit card?

Yes, you can use a 0% APR personal card for business expenses. You'll likely get a longer 0% APR window with a personal card versus a business card. Some personal cards offer 0% APR on balance transfers, too, which is very rare among business cards.
There are some downsides to consider, though. Financing a major business purchase on a 0% APR personal card could push your credit utilization higher and, as a result, lower your personal credit score. And incorporated businesses — LLCs, LLPs and corporations — could jeopardize their limited liability protections by using a card in their personal name for business expenses.
If a consumer credit card with 0% APR makes sense for your business, here are a couple to consider:
  • Wells Fargo Reflect® Card
    :
0% intro APR for 21 months from account opening on purchases and qualifying balance transfers, and then the ongoing APR of 17.24%, 23.74%, or 28.99% Variable APR
  • Chase Freedom Unlimited®
    :
0% intro APR on purchases and Balance Transfers for 15 months, and then the ongoing APR of 18.99%-28.49% Variable APR

Methodology

NerdWallet's business credit card team selects the best small-business credit cards without outside input from partners or other business interests. We evaluate business cards based on value and simplicity, weighing fees, sign-up bonuses and reward rates, alongside perks like interest-free periods, statement credits and elite status (for travel cards). Business cards that earn the highest scores deliver the most value to the greatest number of business owners.
Notable changes to our methodology for 2025 include factoring in whether spending on employee cards earns rewards and counts toward the welcome offer requirements. We also now consider what information the card issuer reports to consumer credit bureaus. Learn how NerdWallet rates small-business credit cards.
