If you're looking for a card with flexible travel redemption options and rich rewards on dining and groceries, the American Express® Gold Card may be your best go-to. Your Membership Rewards points can be redeemed for flights on several major domestic and international carriers, with no blackout dates and no seating restrictions. And you can transfer rewards to several different airline programs and hotel chains. The card also offers big rewards and benefits for foodies, including 4 points per dollar spent at restaurants worldwide, 4 points per dollar spent at U.S. supermarkets on up to $25,000 in purchases per year and a $120 annual dining credit for select purchases that comes in $10 monthly increments at partners that include Grubhub, The Cheesecake Factory, Goldbelly, Wine.com, Milk Bar and participating Shake Shack locations. Enrollment required. Terms apply.

If you can't use the card's annual credits, consider a lower-fee card. But if you travel frequently and can maximize this card's benefits, it's well worth it. Read the full review here.
