It's very similar to the JetBlue Plus consumer card, but you'll want the business version if you spend more at office supply stores than you do on groceries.

The JetBlue Business Card is very similar to one of JetBlue's two consumer cards, the JetBlue Plus Card — so similar, in fact, that you might have a hard time telling them apart. Both are excellent cards for JetBlue loyalists.

Like the Plus version, the business card boasts an impressive welcome offer, ongoing bonus rewards for eligible flights and restaurant purchases, as well as savings on in-flight cocktails and food. The $99 annual fee is also the same.

But the JetBlue Business Card has a slightly different rewards structure that could be more relevant for some small-business owners.

Here are five things to know about the JetBlue Business Card.

1. It rewards you handsomely for JetBlue purchases

Like the Plus card, the JetBlue Business Card offers 6x points on JetBlue spending, which makes it easy to rack up rewards quickly if you’re a frequent traveler loyal to the airline.

Those TrueBlue points can be redeemed for flights or vacation packages online; NerdWallet values them at 1.5 cents each.

2. It earns 2X points at restaurants and office supply stores

This is the card's main difference with the JetBlue Plus Card.

Instead of offering double points at restaurants and grocery stores, the business version earns double points at restaurants and office supply stores.

This makes the JetBlue Business Card a better choice for small-business owners who need to stock up on essentials for themselves and their employees.

But it's a worse choice for those who spend a lot at supermarkets.

3. The sign-up bonus is sizable

The JetBlue Business Card offers the following eye-popping bonus: Earn 50,000 bonus points after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first 90 days. Plus, earn 10,000 bonus points when a purchase is made on an employee card in the first 90 days.

That's worth quite a bit toward JetBlue flights.

In addition, cardholders earn 5,000 bonus points on their anniversary each year.

4. You'll get free checked bags and other perks

Not only do you get a free checked bag, but up to three companions on the same reservation do, too.

If you’re a small-business owner who tends to travel with a squad of employees, that value can add up. Since first checked bags typically cost $35, that could save you as much as $280 on a round trip.

The card also offers 50% savings on eligible in-flight cocktails and food.

5. It also comes with an annual vacation credit

In addition to the annual points bonus, when you use the card to buy a JetBlue Vacations package, you get a $100 statement credit each year — another incentive for long-term cardholders.
