For companies looking to make a positive impact through investing
Introducing 5toThrive, our new financial education series
Making smart financial decisions is tough — especially when most financial courses don’t offer relevant, actionable guidance. Enter 5toThrive: our free, self-guided series designed to close the gap between financial intention and financial action.
With 5toThrive, you’ll discover five positive behaviors you can start practicing today that will help you achieve long-term financial security, confidence, and stability. And in the short term? You’ll learn how to build your credit score, get out of debt, grow your savings, and more.
The 5toThrive curriculum is organized into five steps, each with its own articles, videos, quizzes, and more.
The Financial Equity Pledge
In the United States, approximately 63 million adults are unbanked or underbanked, with Black and Hispanic individuals comprising nearly 60% of this population.* This prevents many people from achieving greater financial equity — but we’re committed to changing that.
That’s why NerdWallet has joined forces with Inclusiv to create The Financial Equity Pledge: an effort to increase investment in community development credit unions (CDCUs). CDCUs provide low- and moderate-income communities with safe and secure financial products and services — like fair loans, savings accounts, and financial counseling.
When your company deposits money into a CDCU, you not only earn interest on your investment — you help close the financial gap in underserved communities and build a more equitable financial future for all.
