Oasis fan frenzy brought the band’s website to its knees earlier this week, as millions sought to register for the ticket ballot. The Manchester duo responded to the demand by releasing three more dates for their 2025 reunion tour next summer.
As you begin your journey to (try) to see Liam and Noel next summer, planning ahead is key. What’s more, taking into account all the costs will help you keep a check on (and rein in) what you spend. Read on to find out how you can see your favourite band on a budget.
Oasis are playing the Principality Stadium (Cardiff), Heaton Park (Manchester), Wembley (London), Murrayfield (Edinburgh) and Croke Park (Dublin) for their UK and Ireland dates next summer.
Ticket prices
Ticket prices were announced yesterday for various UK venues, ranging from £73 (including fees) for a seated ticket at the Cardiff Principality Stadium up to £206.25 (including fees) for a seated ticket at Wembley Stadium. Tickets have also been confirmed by event promoter MCD as starting at €86.50 (£73) for Croke Park in Dublin.
VIP/premium packages also vary, with the cheapest again at the Cardiff venue, offering a premium standing package (which includes a standing ticket, a limited edition merchandise item and a commemorative wristband), for £215.00 (including fees).
The most expensive premium experience on offer is once again Wembley, for which fans will pay £506.25 (including fees) each for a pre-show party and exhibition fan package.
See a comparison of prices for seated and standing tickets (including fees) in the table below:

For those not lucky enough to purchase a ticket first time round, Twickets or Ticketmaster Fan-to-Fan are the official partners and will be reselling tickets at face value, with Oasis confirming on their website that “ticket resale is permitted at no more than the price you paid (face value + booking fees)”.
“We often see tickets resold due to summer holidays being booked, or if groups of friends all try and get tickets, then some of those friends may want to sell and buy for dates their friends are attending,” said Richard Davies, founder of www.Twickets.live, in a press release.
“Our platform offers a way for fans to sell their tickets to other genuine fans, and avoids people having to use sites that allow inflated prices, which the artists and events companies don’t benefit from.”
Hotels and travel
With ticket prices broadly the same across all locations, perhaps the biggest way an Oasis fan can save money is by choosing the cheapest location based on overnight stay.
If train and bus connections don’t run into the early hours and you’re not near enough one of the stadiums to drive or get a taxi home, a hotel would be a good shout but also a hefty expense.
With stories of hotels cancelling existing bookings to charge as much as three times the original price with Oasis in town, fans face eye-watering costs.
Below we list Premier Inn prices for the big cities, based on a double room (assuming two adults sharing) on the Saturday date for each city compared with a room tomorrow night.
Location | Date of overnight stay for Oasis | Premier Inn Price for 2 adults sharing a standard double room | Price for an equivalent room on a summer Saturday (31/08/24) | Percentage increase |
---|---|---|---|---|
Cardiff City Centre (Stadium) hotel | 05/07/25 – 06/07/25 | £336 | £152 | 121.1% |
Manchester City Centre (Arena/Printworks) hotel | 11/07/25 – 12/07/25 | £336 | £126 | 166.7% |
London Harrow hotel | 26/07/25 – 27/07/25 | £336 | £109 | 208.3% |
hub by Premier Inn Edinburgh Haymarket | 09/08/25 – 10/08/25 | £336 | £195 | 72.3% |
Dublin City Centre (North Docklands) Hotel | 16/08/25 – 17/08/25 | €336 (£282.63) | €198 (£166.55) | 69.7% |
Prices correct as of 30/08/24 – The Premier Inn closest to where Oasis are performing with rooms still available in each city was chosen. Price is for advanced rate, standard room, breakfast not included.
Although the Premier Inn has standardised pricing across the board for Oasis Saturday dates, compared with prices you could expect to pay for a Saturday during the Summer, some Premier Inns have increased prices by as much as 208.3%. Oasis fans planning to see the band in London are once again hardest hit by price rises, while those in Dublin will see the smallest rise of 69.7%.
And after all, with hotels for the night expensive across the board, looking to your nearest location (and therefore likely the cheapest train fare) may prove the most cost-effective option, be it London or Dublin.
3 money-saving tips for the chosen ones
Don’t just roll with it
Planning hotels and transport well in advance will be key for any Oasis fan wanting to save a few pennies to spend on merch on the night. Whether you’re looking to stay over or go there and back in a night, weighing up the price of public transport vs parking vs staying is a must.
A Travelodge spokesperson said to NerdWallet UK in an email that they “encourage people to book directly via our website www.travelodge.co.uk as early as they can and where they can to choose the rate that is right for them”.
If you do decide to drive, exploring sites such as JustPark, on which people rent out driveways (often close to venues) could also save money compared with a typical multistorey or official car park. You can also check car park prices on sites such as Parkopedia to help you find the one that suits your needs (and budget) on the day.
It’s not all cigarettes and alcohol
Everyone knows that drinks will be expensive inside any of the stadiums Oasis are gracing. Choosing a place to eat/drink slightly further away from the stadium or prepping food and amenities to take with you on the day could help save considerable money.
Some might say….buy merch there
So you’ve seen Liam and Noel and are dying to purchase an official matching bucket hat but see the queue and feel disheartened – remember, you will save on any shipping fees by buying at the venue rather than waiting until you are home.
Avoid scams
The biggest way to waste your money is to hand it straight to a scammer.
If you weren’t one of the lucky ones to secure official tickets this weekend, Oasis stated on their website: “Fans who have purchased tickets and can no longer attend the shows are able to resell their tickets via Twickets or Ticketmaster Fan-to-Fan.
“We urge fans to only use these official resale platforms. Any tickets listed on unauthorised resale sites may not be genuine and, in line with the terms and conditions, promoters will cancel any tickets found listed.”
And lastly, make sure to say maybeeeee to anything that looks suspicious outside of the official resale avenues. Being cautious about things that seem too good to be true is the best approach to take – ask our NerdWallet team who were almost scammed with Taylor Swift tickets.
